Questions people ask

Does this tell me if a token is safe or a scam?

No. There is no safety score here and never will be. The checker shows a factual snapshot of a token's on-chain market — liquidity, volume, pair age, venues — and an explicit list of the things it cannot see (holders, unlocks, taxes, honeypot and mint authority, wash trading, and legitimacy). Use it as one input, not a verdict.

Where does the data come from and how fresh is it?

From DexScreener's public DEX pool data. Every result shows the exact time it was observed and links to the source. Results are cached for up to a minute, so a shared link stays consistent, and we never show a stale or estimated value in place of a live one.

Why do I need the contract address instead of the name?

Tickers are not unique — many different contracts can trade under the same name, which is exactly how impersonation works. The contract address is the only reliable identity, so the checker keys everything on chain plus contract and warns you when other contracts share the ticker.

What can this data NOT tell me?

Pool data cannot reveal holder concentration, locked or vesting supply and unlock schedules, buy/sell taxes, whether a sell would succeed (honeypot) or whether the token can be freely minted, how much volume is wash trading, or anything about the team's legitimacy or intent. Those unknowns are listed on every result.
